Reconstructed Fragments, 2024

Borosilicate Glass

40 x 50 x 38cm

'Reconstructed Fragments' investigates the intricate relationships between individuals and how these connections influence the formation and evolution of civilization by creating fractured glass skulls and their branching extensions. Real human bones inspired this project. I encountered them during a trip, damaged by disease or injury, and they prompted me to contemplate the mechanisms of human connection formation and maintenance. By displaying these fractured glass skulls, I intend to symbolize the persistence of individual experiences and highlight the importance of these connections in human interactions. This project aims to provoke thought on the significance of human relationships and connections in driving the development of civilization through visual art.
