This work expresses the contradiction and fusion between rationality and sensibility in my inner world through the interaction of geometrical structure and light and shadow. A geometric triangular column with an inverted triangular cone at its core symbolises the calmness and order of the rational world, while the glass lines strewn across its interior map the softness and changeability of sensual emotions. The triangles that form the main body are intertwined in disorder and order, reflecting the tolerance and constraint of the rational framework over the tension of sensibility. Through this form, the work intends to explore the complexity of the inner world, leading the viewer to think about the balance and conflict between rationality and sensibility in self-perception.
The core concept of the work is "the dynamic balance between rationality and sensibility". The triangular cone symbolises the calmness and order of reason, while the glass lines express the fluidity and flexibility of sensibility. This contrasting structure is intended to explore how sensibility and rationality intertwine and interact within the individual. The disorderly arrangement of triangles represents the tension of sensibility, while the orderly frame demonstrates the encapsulation and constraint of reason. The reflection and variation of light and shadow further reveal the multi-faceted nature of self-consciousness and the complexity of the inner world where reason and sensibility intertwine.
